Sport Betting Systems and Strategies Every Player Should Know

Like anywhere else, in sports betting experience is one of the most important factors that determine the outcome of your bets. Everyone starts with the idea that they will "discover the hot water" themselves and generate large profits based on their views and analyzes. The truth is that the longer a person bets on sports betting, the clearer and clearer his betting strategy becomes, and the simple mistakes he made at first are drastically cleared subsequently.

You do not need to gain negative experience to reach a point where you are already aware of your long-term betting strategy. We at betindex.net will show you some well-known betting systems, Bet365 systems and more. The principle of systems is universal, which is why they are present in all bookmaking companies. The most important thing that is required of you is to know your approach when you use them so you do not find yourself empty-handed. In addition, we have prepared some well-known betting strategies that every player should know.

Classic betting systems

Trixie (4 columns)

You play 3 games (selections - this is the official term used by bookmakers), which are combined as follows - 3 double columns and 1 straight column that includes all matches (3 + 1 = 4 bets columns). You must have at least 2 games to win. Here you have to carefully choose your matches and their odds, because if the total odds of the two known matches are below 4, that means that your winnings will be less than the total bet. In other words, you multiply x4 by your stake because you have 4 columns; if your bet is £ 2, then your system is worth £ 2 x 4 columns = £ 8. So when you win, you multiply the odds of winning matches by the single bet per column (in this case, £2). In the picture below you can see the combination of the respective matches in the columns (first column - first and second matches, second column, first and third, etc.).

Yankee

This combination follows the same logic as Trixie, but this time it is played with a match more  and we bet 4 games (selections) and the columns are 11 - 6 double, 4 triple and 1 four. Two games are needed to win.

Super Yankee

The combination is similar to the Yankee except that it includes 5 selections. 26 columns with 10 double, 10 triple, 4 quadruple and 1 quintuple.

Heinz

Heinz combination is the same as the Super Yankee, but featuring 6 selections that raise the total number of columns to 57. If you get two selections right, you win.

Goliath

This is the largest combination of 8 selections and 247 columns.

Watch out when systems start to involve a lot of matches (more combined matches add more columns to the system)-  the total bet becomes larger. For example, if we want to play the system of 8 combined games Goliath with £1single bet per column, the total bet will be £ 247. You have to carefully evaluate the bet, the matches and the odds, for example, in the case of two unfamiliar matches so you can be profitable in your chosen system.

Long-term Betting Strategies

It is important to note that the strategies we will look at do not offer a guarantee of profit. They simply follow a mathematical progression that must be rigorously implemented to generate revenue in a relatively short period. It is extremely important to select championships and teams that are well-researched and in some observable period of time our assumptions will come true. All strategies should include matches that are odds of about 2 or more in order to be able to expect long-term winnings.

Martingale

This is a well-known strategy that is more commonly used in casino games, but also often in sports betting. It has a very simple structure and is easy to apply.

The essence of the Martingale strategy:

You choose your bet (from £ 1 for example) and you bet on a match with odds over 2.00. If the bet is a losing bet, then the next bet is doubled (at an initial bet of £ 1, we double to £2). If this bet is a losing one, then our third bet is doubled again (this time at £ 4). When we finally win, the profits are small but profitable. Following the rules of Martingale's strategy when we win, we must go back to the starting bet and start again. Often this strategy is used with teams that tend to make even matches and look for X per match, but this is a matter of personal preference and exploration. The catch here is that if you start with £5 and your matches do not go to 5-6 bets, there is a danger of reaching high sums that require large capital.

The D'Alembert system

D'Alembert's system is a more robust and sophisticated than Martingale's strategy. There is also mathematical progression here (geometric progression, to be precise), but this time the approach is not so aggressive, because instead of doubling the losing bet, we simply increase it at a single rate. This way, we have more time to get back into the game with a negative series, and this does not have as detrimental effects on our account as with the negative cases on the Martingale system.

Fibonacci Strategy

Get ready for some math genius. The latest betting strategy we will present is based on the Fibonacci section method. The interesting thing here is that a guessed bet makes the previous two losses winning. The method is not complicated, but you must follow the picture below. It gives a clear example of how the progression of the numbers is relative to each other.

The essence of the Fibonacci strategy:

This known mathematical principle is based on a progression that follows the perfect spiral of numbers. You start betting at a certain rate, you raise the bet by certain criteria. This is the sum of the two previous numbers, which will give you the end result to bet on. If we take 1 for a starting bet - we bet £1, we lose; then as a second bet we bet £1 again, lose again, and in order to win the third bet we increase our bet by adding the bet we added to the previous bet and the previous bet itself (our second bet was £2, which is has formed from our initial bet of £ 1 and a bet of £ 1; so we have to sum the bet and the final bet of 1 + 2 = £ 3). Accordingly, our third bet is £ 3. If our third bet is wrong, the fourth bet will be £2. and the last bet of £3, which gives us a bet of £5. So this spiral function guarantees us that when we win we will be profitable.

It is important to note that the odds must be above 2.00, and mathematical theory tells us that at an odd of 2.65 or greater, we guarantee a good profit. Experienced players use the "Fibonacci section" when betting on draws, because, as we know, usually the betting ratio is around 3.00, which guarantees us an extremely good return on bets. When you win, you have to go back two steps in the bets to be able to generate good winnings in the medium term. It is important to set up a period for yourself (for example, 4 weeks to bet on a team that tends to make even matches) in which to follow this strategy, so that you can "draw the line" and take consideration of the positive and negative sides of this strategy.

Conclusion

Using systems and mathematical strategies increases your chances of making a profit, but in no case does it guarantee you a secure one. It is important for a person not to lose ground when he or she falls into long periods of loss or gain, but to stick to a strict and balanced game strategy. In the above examples of systems, you can select a few games with good odds and hope that many of them will be profitable to make a decent profit.

The advantage of using systems is that if a match does not finish as expected, you still have a chance not to leave with empty hands, but to know your other matches and win again. The downside to the systems is that your single bet is multiplied by each column of the system, and so sometimes the bet is larger, and when several matches get away, sometimes your winnings may be less than the bet itself.

The betting strategies we have considered are appropriate for medium to long term. With them you can't accumulate capital for a weekend or a few days, these are strategies that take weeks to work so that after the given period you set, you can win - with one small but decent amount.
